I thought we’d take a look back at some of my favorite blog post of 2018 as we look onto to 2019 and start dreaming up goals and ideas for next year.

In March some inspo on how to save some green with Save Vs. Splurge || California Boho Glam.

In July we got meet Kelley Hughes and tour her stunning Grand Rapids apartment as well as get a glimpse into mine with the design process for my bedroom. Side note - it’s been ready to photograph and already changed twice and I really need to post about it! Maybe in 2019! ha

I did some fun holiday tablescapes, like this moody halloween dinner and a mixed metals Thanksgiving!

Decorating for fall already feels like so long ago and I miss that weather!

And you got a sneak peek into what I packed for my Christmas holiday to Chicago.

I don't think I have a single "home" themed pinterest board that you won't find one or two images of this New Zealand Gem on.. a minimalists dream! I have so much envy admiration for the design trio behind this goregous home and this weeks obesseion! Bec & Paul, husband and wife who have teamed up with Bec's furniture building father and the creatives behind Douglas and Bec.

So much about this space caught my eye, from the simplicity of it all to the organic materials and soft neutral color palette. This "barn to home" conversion just demands to be looked it and the best part, it's seamlessly transformed from home to studio because you guys.. the bedrooms are on movable pods!

Bec truly understands the balance of understated living and yet her home is full of beautiful big statement pieces. I am in awe of her restraint to not collect a bunch of "stuff" but only showcase in her home what she really loves and needs.

The lighting is my absolute favourite and will definitely be an addition to my home in the future. The nude pink with brass is truly an unbeatable combination! I hope you guys love this space as much as I do - because frankly, you are going to surely see a lot more of it around here.

Danish designer Norm Architects has taken both Scandinavian and Japanese design to create this collaborative space of gallery and workspace for Kinfolk magazine’s offices in Copenhagen. With a palette of wood and rendered walls in an understated organic tone which creates a simple and homey environment that feels like your living room rather then an office space.

The front end of the space is my absolute favorite with its full big glass windows where natural light streams in and fills the room in sunlight.

"Much like human well being, the essence of our work is found in balance – between richness and restraint, between order and complexity, our vision is to look beyond sight. We want to create spaces that feel good in every way. “ said Norm Architects in an article on Dezeen.

I am obsessing with all the bespoke wooden elements in the space, (those desks!) which are made from Dinesen oak and give a natural warmth to the space. Some of this Pinterest worthy lighting is from Swedish designer Jonas Wagell, these simple lamps with a concrete base and a brass dimmer switch (I die). They sourced many of these great pieces from Danish furniture brand Menu.
