I've seen these candles at a couple stores and loved them but not the price tag! So in true DIY fashion I decided to make my own. See the DIY below!

First trim your balsa wick if needed (I did just under the top of my glass) start by soaking your balsa wood stick in some coconut oil and then wipe off - this will help with burning quality. Then click the wood wick into the tab and secure the the bottom of your jar or glass using wax adhesive or do what I did and pour a bit of melted wax on the bottom and hold wick into place until it hardens enough to hold it in place.
Once the wick is set cut up your wax into blocks and put in measuring cup and melt via 30 sec increments in the microwave or place in 2 inches of boiling water in a pot and double boil (careful measuring cup might be hot!). Once your wax is thoroughly melted pour slowly into your jar or glass leaving at least 1/2 inch of which exposed at the top. Once poured I let my wax harden for about an hour or two before adding the crystals but while it was still soft I pushed the crystals into the wax and then melted the extra wax over the top layer and let harden over night.
