I had a goal of getting this post out before the end of January but hey there's plenty of 2018 left and in true new years fashion (for me at least) I set a lot of goals that don't always happen but nevertheless here are some trend predictions I've seen buzzing around the internet that are going to be all over Pinterest this year.
I've read a few places that terracotta will be what emerald green was to interiors and design in 2017. This gorgeous shade with a touch of orange and a hint of red, that perfect combo of rich earthy color. It looks stunning on textiles and I think we will see it a lot, especially bed linen and of course ceramics and tiles too. You have to be brave though, it is a bold color.
When will plants ever not be on trend - let's get real. A low maintenance plant with vibrant foliage adds life to the room.
This was the hot trend of the 1970s and it's back for 2018! Have you guys been follow along on Sarah Sherman Samuels renovation of Mandy Moore's new home (see 2nd and 3rd photo above - what a clever feature for the fireplace). They also did terrazzo floors with brass inlay detail - so dreamy!
I’ve been digging the over the top veiny statement slabs, especially this bold natural stone in the photo above - uh yes please.
Really any non-conforming sofa or any shape is going to be on trend this year. They look so amazing in any room but the best looking one's tend to seem a tad uncomfortable - God doesn't give with both hands.
