Whitsundays // Great Barrier Reef

I had the chance to go to the Whitsundays and The Great Barrier Reef in northern Australia with a couple of friends for a few days. It was the middle of winter and even though it’s Australia it was still fairly cold out. But we didn’t let that stop us from having a great time.

We ended up taking a boat ride out to one of the local islands and the Reef of course!

We were welcomed by a beach bum Wallaby just soaking up some sun!

We couldn’t go to the Great Barrier Reef and not snorkel! And boy was that water cold.. We even ended up seeing a shark!! But thank goodness it wasn't while we were in the water! The Whitsundays is one of Australia true gems and I highly recommend going if you get the chance.
